In October 1927, Franz Breuning rented a modest space on Rudolfstraße in Pforzheim, Germany, a city long regarded as the heart of European jewelry manufacturing. He equipped the space with secondhand tools and a handful of designs, and set to work with six employees. Nearly a century later, the company he founded has become one of Europe's leading jewelry manufacturers, now in its third generation under the leadership of Marcus Breuning and his wife Linda, who joined as CEO in 2019.
Breuning has built its reputation on a combination of innovation and precision that is genuinely rare. Their manufacturing facilities in Pforzheim include machinery and tooling that is unparalleled on an international scale, allowing their design team to realize technically sophisticated patterns and intricate details that most manufacturers simply cannot achieve.
