About ArtCarved
Few jewelry brands can claim a history as rich or as meaningful as ArtCarved. It all began in 1850 in Brooklyn, New York, when J.R. Wood founded a small jewelry shop producing diamond engagement rings and wedding bands for the residents of New York City. That shop would grow into one of the most influential bridal jewelry companies in American history, pioneering innovations that changed the way couples celebrate their commitment forever.
In the 1890s ArtCarved introduced the first seamless soldered wedding ring. In 1909 they published the first illustrated jewelry catalog, allowing couples to choose their rings from home for the first time. In the 1920s their craftsmen developed the signature carved ring designs that gave the brand its name, creating high relief details no other jeweler could replicate. During World War II ArtCarved was the only jewelry manufacturer permitted by the United States government to continue producing wedding bands, and it was during this era that they popularized the dual-band wedding ceremony, a tradition now observed by couples everywhere. In 1950, Conrad Hilton proposed to Elizabeth Taylor with an ArtCarved engagement ring.
Today ArtCarved continues that legacy with a collection of engagement rings and wedding bands that blends their storied heritage with contemporary design. Every ring is handcrafted to exact standards of design detail and quality, with comfort fit precision engineered for a lifetime of wear. Styles range from intricate vintage-inspired designs featuring milgrain, filigree, and scrollwork drawn from their original catalogs, to clean and modern silhouettes for today's couples. Metals include yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum, and palladium.
At Pearce Jewelers in West Lebanon, we are honored to carry a brand with this kind of legacy. Come in and try on the ArtCarved collection. Some things truly are made to last.
